IN A TAXI, YOU CAN...

Prohibit the driver from smoking.

Open or close the windows, but it's no use opening the windows in an air-conditioned cab.

Request the driver to switch off the radio.

Choose your own route. If you don't specify a route, the driver is legally obliged to use the shortest route. However your driver will be aware of road works, demonstrations, etc..., and will do his best to avoid these.

Stop to pick up other people known to your route.

A TAXI DRIVER CAN REFUSE TO...

Pick you up if you are less than 50 metres of a taxi rank where a cab is waiting.

Let you smoke.

Let you take the seat beside him.

Pick you up if you are obviously drunk.

Pick you up if your clothes are dirty or your body odour is offensive.

Load luggage that is too cumbersome or heavy, dirty or if its odour is offensive.

Take you outside the operating zone of Parisian Taxi.

Wait for you where parking is prohibited, limited or impossible.

DON'T FORGET
, a kind smile and good manners will get you a better service from a taxi driver than threats or insults

REMEMBER...

The wearing of seat belts is compulsory, even in the back of the cab, in a taxis as in other vehicles. In the event of infringement, the passenger can be verbalized, or have evil to take advantage of its rights in event of accident.

When leaving a cab, always get out on the opposite side to the traffic, and be careful at all times when opening doors. (many unconscious cycles slips into the least space). In event of accident, your responsibility can be committed.

And always remember to thank a driver who as done a good job.
